Today, we went to different places in Adelaide and the places we have gone are all old buildings which are built in around 1900. First of all, we went to a city hall in Adelaide. It is a chamber called First Council Chamber. It is the first local council chamber to be built in south Australia. The single story early Victorian white painted stone building was designed by architect Wiliam Weir and is a building of novel design. Mrs Margy told is this fact and it is cool! I think. And then, we also went to a mill called The Former Flour mill, now the Fox and Firkin Pub was built by S. camper and Co of Adelaide in 1853. The steam flour mill was built in the site to draw water from the springs in Tea Tree Gully. After that, we went to a garden which is selling lots of flowers. Some are beautiful, some are good-smell and some are cool! There is some seeds which is being sold looking like an insect. But they just look like that and the real function of them is planting. I didn't buy any flowers because I neither can bring them back to Hong Kong nor know the interest of my host family. I scare that they will have no time to take care of it, so I didn't buy any flowers. 230 After we visited the zoo, and saw the animals which are not common, we went to a store which is called 'Chocolate Factory'. As you can see, I mean the photo number one, there are a lot of chocolates and candies. That's why it is called 'Chocolate Factory'. There are lots of chocolates, which are in different tastes and different shapes. And I bought lots of them because I like chocolate very much, I wish that I will enjoy them because we can not have a try before we have bought it. And I spent around fifty dollars in buying chocolate. After that, we went to a sonvenir shop which is selling different kinds and aspects of stuffs. There are boomerangs keyrings, clocks, pens, koala keyrings and so on. What I have bought is a lot of keyrings because I have no interest in anything else but I have to get some sonvenir for my friends, so I just bought some tiny cute keyring. And we also went to the toys factory. There is a big horse modal. Tourists can go to the top of the horse and go sightseeing. But the toys there are all made of wood, and they are not suitable for me so I buy nothing there. 211 Today my classmates and I visited the zoo again. But the one we wen today is different to the one I go last Saturday.
The one I went last Saturday is called Adelaide zoo and the one we went there today is called Wildlife Park. The difference of them is the front one is more bigger, there are lots of animals than the behind one, the second one is smaller but there is a special activities which is we can hug the koala! It is very fun. And the second thing which is fun is that we can feed the wallabies and emu. It is very very very very fun because i never try this before and I can experience some more new and funny things. But it is a little but sad because when I am going to feed a tiny bird which is very colorful and cute and very pretty, it is escaping from me... what the hell was that! Hum! I feed other bird or animals and not for you! The other thing is that we only have an hour to walk or look in the zoo, it is ever never enough for us! and the food we used to feed the animals are not enough! 209 Today, I went to the supermarket with ben. A
In the photots , you can see the local of the woonwoths supermarket. Woolworths Supermarkets (colloquially known as "Woolies") is a supermarket/grocery store chain in Australia, owned by Woolworths Limited. Along with Coles, Woolworths form a near duopoly of Australian supermarkets, together accounting for about 80% of the Australian market, however the Australian expansion of discount supermarket chain Aldi has challenged this duopoly in recent years. d I bought lots of chocolate and sweets. After that, we went back home and we had some free time. He did his homework, and I played my game. After that, some Chris's cousin came, and they chatted with Sam and Ben. One of them tought me how to make a fire. And Ben helped me to take a video as my homework. At night, we had the pizza which is maken by Chris. It was really delicious and I want more!!! After that, I kept playing game with Sam. :) I also performed better than before, I kill more faster than before, i can control better and escape others attack smoothly. Sam also showed me another game which is also about gun game, I have a go and I think the one I am PAlYING NOWW IS MORE INTERESTING. Today, because of some reasons, Chris had to stay at home and he was busy to do or make something at home. On the contrary,Alison had to work today.Sam also went to the city to participate the magic card player meeting something.

Woolworths mostly specialises in selling food (vegetables, fruit, meat, packaged foods, etc.), but they also sell magazines, DVDs and stationery items among other things. Although it is not as big as the supermarket in Tea Tree Plaza, less people are in here and we don't need to stay in a narrow place. 203 In the afternoon, we continued our trip in Adelaide zoo. We went to see a bird show, which the bird can receive the order from the staff of the zoo, and the bird can go and come back the place that the staff wanted.
Adelaide Zoo is Australia's second oldest zoo (after Melbourne Zoo), and the only major metropolitan zoo in Australia to be owned and operated on a non-profit basis. It is located in the parklands just north of the city centre of Adelaide, South Australia. It is administered by the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia Incorporated (trading as Zoos SA) which is a full institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). and which also administers the Monarto Zoo near Murray Bridge. At the midnight, we decided to have our tea in the city. I also took some photos of the view in the city. Sam and I also went to a shop called 'Infinty store' which is a shop selling different type of cards like WS and Magic Card. I looked at the price of the ws and it is selling as seven Australia dollar, wow the price is twice of hong kong's. At night, we had tea in the Burger Theory and I had a beef burger. Although it is very dear, it is very delicious. If there is a Burger Theory in Hong Kong, I must go there and have a meal. 248 Today, Chris, Alison,Sam and I went to the Adelaide Zoo. In the morning, we saw many different kinds of animals. For example, there are giraffe, kangaroo, wombat, Basilian tapir, panda, hyacinth macaw, Pygmy marmoset, white bellied caique and suchlike animals.

At the noontime, we had lunch in the restaurant which is in the Adelaide Zoo. Each of us bought a hot dog with a bottle or can of soft drink. We also bought some chips and all of them tasted good. The price of the hot dog is totally not dear but the price of the soft drink you must amazed. three australia dollars a can of soft drink, wow, so dear. 202 .In the morning, we went to the Australia Aboriginal Museum. We watched a movie about the fairytale of the aboriginal people. The story is about there was somebody who is an aboriginal in Australia. He didn't good at everything, whenever he sees others celebrate the results or achievement, he will feel ashamed. So he tried to catch some prey. But he fell to the darkness and enjoyed the life with some bad evils. Finally, his father noticed this and helped and saved him from the underground. The lesson of this story is that every people have their own ability and everyone is not perfect, we don't need to admire others. Today, we visited the Aboriginal Australian Museum.we saw many tools the aboriginal use. For example, we saw the weapons they use like boomerangs, axes and suchlike. There is also a small cinema which plays some aboriginal fairy tales, and I have watched a video clip like this:The story is like this: there was somebody who is an aboriginal in Australia. The lesson of this story is that every people have their own ability and everyone is not perfect, we don't need to admire others. And I also saw the foods the aboriginal eat. They ate worm, insects, ants.... They were horrible! And After that, we went to the central market. I took a look on the thank you cards for my host family, and I also bought some sonvenir. I bought four thank you cards for each of my host family members and each cards was sold as six Australia dollars. In total, there is twenty four dollars, I mean Australia dollars. When it comes to Hong Kong dollar, they cost one hundred and twenty dollars something. It is totally expensive!!!!! Four thank you cards cost one hundred and twenty Hong Kong dollars!! 245 |
